Baku Data Center Project Executed by Merga Group

Merga Group is undertaking the installation of all key systems for the Baku Data Center, adhering strictly to TIER 3 standards. The primary objective of the project is to create a high-security, reliable, and durable infrastructure that meets modern data center requirements. This project includes a broad range of services designed to ensure the seamless and secure operation of all processes within the center.

Scope of Work and Installed Systems:

  1. Power Supply and Electrical Systems:

    • Multi-Level Power Supply: A multi-level power supply system has been established to meet the energy needs of the data center. This system provides high reliability per TIER 3 standards, ensuring continuity of operations in the event of any power disruptions.
    • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Systems: UPS systems are installed throughout the facility to ensure the continuous operation of sensitive equipment. They safeguard servers and other critical devices during power outages, minimizing data loss.
    • Backup Generators: Standby generators are set to immediately provide power in the event of a power failure. These generators ensure an uninterrupted power supply within the data center, maintaining safety and operational continuity.

  2. Cooling and Ventilation Systems:

    • High-Performance Mechanical Ventilation: Advanced ventilation systems are installed to maintain optimal operating temperatures and prevent overheating of equipment. These systems ensure continuous airflow and provide a stable working environment within the center.
    • Central Cooling Systems: Designed specifically for server rooms, the cooling systems maintain ideal temperature levels. They operate with high efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and extend equipment lifespan.

  3. IT Security and Access Control:

    • Authorized Access Control Systems: Secure access control systems regulate authorized entry and exit within the data center, allowing only authorized personnel access and increasing the facility's security.
    • High-Security Surveillance Cameras: High-resolution surveillance cameras are installed across all areas to ensure 24/7 monitoring. These cameras support remote monitoring, ensuring full coverage and enhanced security.

  4. Optical Cabling and Infrastructure:

    • High-Speed Optical Cabling: A high-speed optical cabling system is installed to provide stable data transfer within the data center. This system facilitates fast and stable data transmission over long distances without delays.
    • Supporting Technologies and Infrastructure Upgrades: Along with optical cabling, additional technological equipment and supporting infrastructure required for efficient data center operations have been installed. These setups fulfill all the necessary conditions for efficient functioning.

Project Objectives and Benefits: The Baku Data Center Project, executed by Merga Group, ensures high reliability, security, and durability through infrastructure fully compliant with TIER 3 standards. These standards require 99.982% uptime, meaning the data center allows for only approximately 1.6 hours of potential downtime per year. Upon completion, the Baku Data Center will operate as a high-tech, high-standard facility equipped with modern technologies.
